It's a bit of a weird problem...
But whenever i try to access my second drive, D:\, it asks me what i want to use to open the file or folder (the "Open With" window pops up). The only way ive found how to get around this is by typing in D:\ manually or right-clicking on it and pressing open. How can i fix this problem? I just reformatted my hdd too, and the problem didnt fix itself.

Open up your D drive and check if there's a file called autorun.inf on the root of the drive. If there is delete it or move it somewhere else.

You shouldn't have to, if it's still happening you can try rebooting. There might be a registry key that's saved the autorun for it. I'll see if I can find it.

Well anytime an autorun.inf appears on a drive windows will try to autoplay it with the settings in the file. Do you get any error messages when you try to open it?

You can use http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe to completely disable autoplay for your D: but it sounds like something is messing with it. I think there's a few virus' that try to do this. Does it happen with any of your other drives?

Oh i see...I looked at the autorun.ini file before, and it was trying to run 'udjudwq.exe' which looks really suspicious...

No, no error messages, only the 'Open With' window.

I've tried virus scanning a few times, nothings come up...

I'll give it a go, thanks.

'udjudwq.exe' is a virus and it also comes with a autorun.inf you should run your anti virus program and cc cleaner do it in safe mode after you have done that post a hyjackthis report.

Yeah dude, if you don't know if a process is legit or not, google it. Post your HJT log in the computer security section.

Googled udjudwq.exe

Ah...
It works now, after restarting a few times i can open D: properly now.

Yeah, virus scanner must've got rid of the virus but my autorun.ini mustve still be screwed up.

Lol weird, it even infected my iPod's autorun.ini file. haha

Thanks a lot guys.

I remember using a program once before where it used to scan through active processes and determined whether they were good or bad etc. Does anyone know what this is called?
