Windows firewall problems

I wanted to turn on my firewall, and its off, but to turn it on is grayed out, cant click on the on option, is there a way to fix this?

The simple way is to first uninstall it totally and sweep the system for any trojans that got by. Then you perform a fresh reinstall to get it going again.

This can happen if you are not logged in with administrator rights. Options will be greyed out.

Check your services click on start run and type services.msc and click on the standard tab at the bottom and then browse for windows firewall and set it to startup type of automatic if its disabled you canot start it so make sure you do this step and start the service first...
