Windows Firewalls?

Is it possible to have a firewall that you caould run from a pendrive? Or would it be possible to make your own firewall?

Also is there some way at all to block a program from running on your computer through a network with something like a fire wall or a script or something???

I dont think running one from a pendrive is possible because of the DLL's & registry keys that need to placed on the system etc. and making you own would be possible if you were a senior C++ Developer or just a hardcore programmer

And programs are easy to block if you have XP Pro through the group policy or using a firewall it can be blocked on all the computers on the network.
