Hello everyone.
For about a month ago i bought a graphics card to my pc so i was able to play games.
The day before that i upgraded my windows XP to WindowsXP pro.
I noticed in my installation disc there was a application called "ASRock Instant boot" which i didnt install.
My computer had a nice fast startup no viruses etc..
But recently my pc getting slower and take up to 1-2 min to startup.
I also noticed after startup is done and my startup application is online then when i open up "Mozilla firefox" it just doesnt respond and i cannot close it via the task manager this also happends for my game (Counter-strike: Source) which jut turns black after joining a server and i will have to restart the pc via the button.
I have no clue what can cause this, so i was hoping some of you could try lead me to the answer.
Thanks in advance.
PS: I see my current directX version is 9.0c but my graphics card support directx 11, sis this possible to upgrade on windowsxp?

~Additional information:
OS: WindowsXP Pro (5.1, Build 2600)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5670

Memory: 2048MB RAM
Page file: 659MB used, 3283MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c

Windows Xp only suppports direct X9. If you installed any software then your slowness is due to the software probably. Did you do a fresh install of XP pro? Uninstall any programs you don't use. Are you sure you are infection free? Did you scan with malwarebytes?

When unpluging my recently bought dock for ipod solved the problem.
But i done all you suggested allready, thanks for the try tho!;-)

I agree, some time you never get to the bottom of it. Simply try a fresh installation and test the computer each time you install a new program.

Good luck
