Windows Live Mail problem

I have a Lenovo Windows 8.1 laptop.

For a couple of hours I have had the message receiving mail in my WIndows Live Mail box but nothing happens.

Either it is a hugh e-mail trying to come through, or some other problem. I have tried through the web page to talktalk but nothing there.

How can I get it to load or remove so other e-mails get through.

Might have to try another 3rd party program to download your mail. Check your windows live mail settings and make sure you leave a copy of mail on server.

In an attempt to try and sort this, I have now lost all my e-mails including the ones I had saved in folders. Really not good.

Is there a way to recover these please ?

I downloaded and tried Windows Live Mail, which I wasn't exactly tickled with. As I recall, I had some similar problem.

After researching mail programs for my own purposes, and, if I didn't go with paid Outlook - Mozilla thunderbird I believe operates better and it would be my definite choice. If you ask around I think you will find that others are happier with it.
