Windows live mail problem

My wife's computer is Windows 7 Home Premium and running Windows Live Mail. For about the last 10 days or so she can receive OK but, can not send. I know it is probably just a click somewhere, can somebody tell me where to click to get back to normal?

Double check outgoing mail server settings.

Here is a little read about that issue. Not supported but still usable for certain email providers.
