Windows Live OneCare Do I Need This?

I just heard about Windows Live OneCare. Do you recommend this for my System (XP, 1.86 GHZ Core 2 Duo, 2.5GB RAM, 100GM HD) or will this slow down my system, particularly the internet? Will this conflict with NOD 32 & other antispyware problems? If you think this truly speeds up your system please let me know.

Onecare has been out for months now and ive heard good reviews bout it,but i haven't tried it never will, antivirus coming from Microsoft is a bad day !!! lol
you're better with Nod32 anyways

use other antispyware program..microsoft is not a good choice~

Live OneCare is also very intrusive. It only has basic customization. Most of the settings are not changeable. Try avg for free instead...another good one, f-secure internet security package for about $70 purchased direct.

Right, I would not use it either. Haven't tried it myself, but heard it's not worth a try. AVG is free and is good enough to use, as for antispyware Spybot Search&Destroy is one of the best and is also free.

I have tried it myself and I dont like it. I wasnt convinced that it was protecting my computer and many seem to think the same. Its tempting to buy becuase its about €40-60 and thats for 3 licenses but just inst as advanced as other security software available.. Its also anoyingly basic also. No advanced controls or anything like that. I would go with nod32 or kaspersky which I like to use and maybe you have a hardware firewall???so no need to get a firewall also.
