HI. I got a realy big problem. and anoiying one to. every time I go to make a cup of tea my computer has logged off. But I am unsure how to get passed this. I have checked my password resume under "display properties" and the box is not checked.

Can someone help. PLease:confused::confused::confused:

Does it actually log off, or did it switch users, go into standby, or have a screen saver start?

What OS? Go to control panel>Power Options. Put a check next to "High Performance" and then click "Change plan settings". Change "put the computer to sleep" from whatever it was to "Never".

^^ That means that your pc locked (fell asleep). Do as I said and it wont anymore. Or just windows media player running all the time, like I do.

Or go under the screen saver settings and un-check "Show welcome screen at resume".

you must make tea a lot. Are you British? :P

LOL, us British don't have tea all the time, but a god cuppa or two a day is good.

this past winter I was having anywhere from one to three cups :D

I like dunking peanut butter crackers in tea (like oreo's and milk).

like posted above,I think its coming on after your screensaver has kicked in.
did you try un-checking the password resume in screensaver tab?

This is the thing the tick box dont have a tick in it. If i was to play music would that stop it logging off. i need a solution. Ive looked on google but they all refer me to power options which is set to ALWAYS ON

no it does not work! if its doing something will it logg off. such as playing music in WMP

Yes, but it will still play the music.
