windows logo testing

Hello, I have a hp Deskjet F4140 printer that I bought a year ago and has been working fine ever since. 2 days ago it stopped working. I tried every thing I could think of but no luck, so I just uninstalled the printer from my computer and tried to re-install with software that I installed it with in the first place. It came up with the message "usb composite device is not windows logo tested" I clicked install anyway and a few minutes later it said "deskjest F4140 not windows logo tested" in short the printer will not re-install. I run windows xp professional service pack 3 on my computer. I have searched everywhere for a solution, even HP website with no results. I also use firefox. Any help would be usefull at this point, I don't want to buy a new printer just to have the same problem pop up.

Thanks

Looks like Service pack 3 has decided your drivers are not certified. I would remove SP3 to see if it cures the problem and take it from there.
