Doesnt matter iof its legal or not
errr, well actually it matter quite a lot
Boot-up time is reduced astronomically, i installed on the system stated below and it booted in around 6 seconds.
but i thought you were gettting boot times of 7 seconds for xp, so really this is not much of an impovement for you
chat features which integrate with all windows.
i cant think of anything worse, if i want to chat i will call someone or come here
The sidebar does look good i have to admit, but its nothing i cant get with ther 3rd party software
Built in driver pool is massive and supports pretty much anything
Relatively no more than xp did on release, however Longhorn will not support unsigned drivers anymore
i haven't really stayed upto date with the more technical issues. Did they rethink there descision of relience on NTFS, won't this pose compatibility issue with reading win drives in linux.
there is also a huge vidoe graphics requirement, at 128mb (64mb basic) which means old systems (especially Kim, my old kitchen server) will be of no use. And the memory footprint is equal to that. Not a prob for most modern computers but still to much to poor old Kim
The new Longhorn base OS used for installation does look very good however, estimated an unassisted 15 install time.
I will be there at the door of PC World on its arrival
Not me, but heck at least that way you'll get a legal copy
