Windows Media player wont play entire video.. Help!

Hello all,
I have .MPG files I recorded on my Digital camera, that Windows media player wont player to their entire length. For example, I can start playing the video and the total length is 20seconds, only ~3 seconds will play, and the video will stop. The sound will continue and I can hear whats going on. I can play the video with WINDVD and it plays perfect.

The WMPplayer version is 11.0.5721.5260

Any Ideas?

I guess it the codec problem. Try install codec pack like k-lite codec pack..

Agreed with the above two posters. I wouldn't install a codec pack of any kind though. I would check your cameras manual and install just the codec your camera uses.

Well it's not just videos from my camera. I'll see if any packs are installed, and try the klite. Thanks..!

Try downloading VLC media player.

It's not the best looking one out there, but it is stuffed full of codecs and is nice and lite so it will run fast.

It handles just about anything.

the problem is you used wmp lol. vlc ftw.

I know someone who has the same problem. The installed the codec from the camera software that came with the camera. All seams fine now. So ill say its a codec.
