Windows Media Player

How would I make my windows media player the dominant player for all types of media I would download off the web. I had it set to the dominant player before I reinstalled Windows on my laptop but now I forget how to, I think its somewhere in the options, but I still can't find out where its at. Anyone know?

right click an mp3 file go to open with... select the option choose program and select windows media player then check the bow at the bottom

or start menu set program access and defaults and set it there under media player

I don't have a problem with Mp3's its the short little video clips I have trouble with. I need to make Windows Media Player the dominant player for all media file types.
