Windows Media Prob

Trying to get videos off of Limewire, I get this msg like 99% of the time.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

Any ideahow I can fix this?

find out the format of the file you are trying to play, check to see if the codec for that format is installed, and, if not, download a codec for the format you need.

edit: actually, first try to open the file with another media player, because if it works in another media player, it is just a problem with windows media play and not the codec

It has mainly to do with the file type there. I'm giving Limewire a run now to get some hard to find audio tracks in wma format. One thing I tried was using different types of players to see if another one would play the odd ones refusing to run on WMP.

Sounds like a little glitch with WMP possibly not recognising the files. Glad to see you got them running. I'm still trying to get some tracks where a message next to few of them was "need more sources". Apparently it is able to get those to even download partially.
