windows memory diagnostics tool

Hey everyone,
whenever i turn my computer on a screen pops up and says windows memory diagnostics tool. Windows is checking for memory problems. Then does a scan. Once the scan is done it will just keep doing another scan then another of the same scan. Has anyone heard of this?
I cannot log in to windows or anything i get this right away.
PLEASE HELP
 
Do you have the bootable CD it made in the drive still? The tool keeps running until you exit because not all errors are found the first time through.
 
i think i saved a bootable cd on the desktop...but their is no way i can get to it i think..i messed up big here...
