Windows Movie Maker HELP?

I have recently found out that Windows Movie Maker 2.6 is not compatible with Windows 7,.. so have to make do with Windows LIVE Movie Maker,.. which is supposed to be an upgrage,.. but is no where near as good,.. Cant merge pics etc into one another so it overlaps them... !

Does anyone know a good movie making programm ... I don't mind buying if it's right for me... thanx in anticipation.

Thanx f that James.. will try them... tried ezevid.. no good.. also 'snagit' no good.. if I can't get one I like, might have to install vista.. I will let you know what happens... thanx again
