Windows Movie Maker trouble!

Hey guys.

When ever I try to import any sort of audio from my computer, does n't matter what kind, it ALWAYS comes up with this message:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ty\My Documents\Ty's Music\Frostwire Music\White Lies - To Lose My Life.mp3 could not be imported. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted.

It says this with all my audio files, not just a few.
They also all work on i-Tunes and Windows Media Player.
What can I do to access/use these files?

Other computers seem to work fine as I have used a mates.

Cheers,
Ty. ;)

Im thinking they may be corrupted.
If you just add the extension .mp3 to your songs, it may not work but try converting the mp3 into a mp3 (same file format) and try again.

Depending on where you had gotten the .mp3 songs from, it may be corrupt as "chrisalv14" had stated.

OR, perhaps it is just as simple a mistake as clicking the wrong selection in windows movie maker; make sure you are clicking "Import audio or music"

If nether of thoes work..;
Right click your audio file (.mp3)>>
.
Go to Properties>>
.
Under "Opens With" change that to Windows Movie Maker by going to browse, than search for windows movie maker.

(File may be called Windows Movie, Windows Movie Maker, MovieMak, or Moviemk)
All by default.
