windows not recognising usb

i recently bought a new usb tv tuner, i have the install disk and i plugged in the usb tuner
windows (XP SP2) makes the sound it's recognized it all is fine
when i run the manufacturers driver disk and hit install drivers it says device not found.
found new hardware yields no answer either as it searches and can't find anything on the internet.
i tried running from a specific location and it said the disk contained no information about the drivers
in device manager there is a question mark and a yellow exclamation point
any ideas? please help!

Have you tried Right clicking on it in Device Manager and pick update driver and direct it to the Driver CD.

i have but then it says "no information about the device could be found"

Do the drivers support your OS? Try going to Device Manager and look it up. Could have a conflict.
