Windows Not Starting Up

I am looking at my co-workers laptop and it won't start up. It's an HP G60-519WM. It say's "no bootable device, insert boot disk and press any key". It has Windows 7 Professional as the OS. What are my options?

Thanks

Eddie

Check the bios to see if it detects a hard drive and if the hard drive is set to first boot device. If everything checks out, most likely the drive has failed.

Excuse my ignorance, but can you please provide detailed instructions on how to that?

Thanks

Restart the laptop and then press the f10 key to access the bios.

I Ran the Primary Hard Disk Self Test and the results were that the "Drive Failed". I guess we need a new hard drive.

PS: Can you please recommend a website where to buy a hard drive for the laptop?

Thanks

Not sure which one of all those I need, but thanks for the reply.Eddie

Anyone of those 2.5" internal hard drive less than 1tb will work. it just the brand and the capacity and the cost you need to decide. some drives that over 1tb maybe too thick for your laptop.
cheers.
