WINDOWS or MAC???

I was just wondering which ones you guys preferred and why (do elaborate... I want to know as much as I can of what you guys think). =] I've been using WINDOWS forever, and I know it's convenient and compatible with almost everything... but am I missing out?

I never used another OS apart from Windows 2000 and XP (and SuSe Linux). I really don't think that I have missed out because I didn't get to use a MAC. I think that I never bought a Mac because I heard its not as reliable as Windows or Linux nor is the machine are easy to fix or upgrade that a normal Computer e.g. PC. I'd stick to Windows if I were you. If you looking for change try Linux and to help you choose the distro go to this site.
 
I was just wondering what kind of specs does Windows have compared to other systems that makes it so "popular"?
 
Ohh mac all the way. They are much more reliable, and less prone to viruses and other problems. And they can do everything and more that a PC can do

More reliable? I don't agree with that, PC hardware is just as reliable as Mac designed hardware...it's the OS that makes the difference. Mac users generally are not into modding, overclocking, tweaking, etc. and therefore do not run into the "problems" that alot of PC users do. If you took a Mac and tried to tweak it like alot of PC enthusiasts do, you would run into MANY problems.

A Mac cannot do everything a PC can do by any means, and a PC cannot do everythign a Mac can do. They both have limits, an they both have strong points over the other...stating one to be far superior to the other is ridiculous.

:confused: Well Windows have been going for...umm...20 years now. They were basically the pioneers of the modern destop.
Microsoft Corp. have 20 years of experience in user friendly software. Everyone in the world who have used a machine have most like come across Windows at least once.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is the BEST OS in the world.

One more thing Apple is way older than Microsoft, when MS was established it was unsuccessfull - untill is started copying everything off Apple's Macintosh operating system, Ms was famous because it allowed other companies to fix hardware for MS, unlike Apple which only uses Mac hardware.

I would say windows just because it's the best for gaming (which I will be doing lots of) but mac is better in other ways like you are less likely to get a virus because most people who make viruses make them so they work better on windows PCs because most people use windows (or atleast thats what i've heard).

It does not matter who is old or new. and I'm not the only one saying that Apple SUCKS, It is a Prooven FACT. Just look around you, compare how many people, companies are using Microsoft based PCs than MACs. and just wait until Windows Vista will come out. It will completely Crush the apple...;)

This topic has been covered many times.. and each time it has turned into a "MAC OS SUCKS!!!" .. "NO, WINDOWS SUCKS!!!"..

If you decide to create a thread on this topic in the future, it will simply be deleted...
