I have a compaq evo n1015v. My computer doesn't seem to want to work for long. I'll be doing nothing out of the ordinary and windows will freeze, so i restart the computer and it freezes during load up. I was told it was the hard drive by a tech guy and I replaced the hard drive but that didn't work. I went into bios to see if anything out of the ordinary was changed but it freezes in bios. anyone have any ideas?

Reset your CMOS settings, or your BIOS settings, and then try to start the computer and see what it does. If it does the same thing you fried the CPU.

I agree with the other diagnostics however, if you can find an update availible you can attempt to flash your bios. There is a small chance it's corrupt or has a bug and is outdated. They are always updating bios's to get rid of bugs.
