windows server 2003 and raid5 problem

Does anyone know why I get a message "no hard disks found" when trying to re-installing the opperating system?

They are currently in a raid5 configuration (8x SATA 500GB array) and work fine under the current OS. The bootCD gets as far as loading up all the setup files and inspecting the current hardware before this message comes up.

Any ideas anyone?
