Windows service pack 2

Afternoon all

I installed service pack 2 to my laptop yesterday and now it's running really slow and there is also a section of my screen(right hand side approx 1/2") which is blacked out.

Has anybody experienced this issue??

I did not have that problem, however when I first instaled SP2, I had no icons and no start menu or task bar. I booted into safe mode and restored to the day before. I waited for a few months, downloaded it again and installed it fine. Maybe restore and try it again later would be my only guess.
