sounds like there is something wrong with either your Hard drive, CD Rom or the controllers on your motherboard. From you description, it sounds like it is skipping the HDD and CD and trying the PXE boot (network boot). The first thing I would try is checking your bios to make sure that the hard drive and CDROM are set as boot devices and that the CDROM is first and hard drive is second. Also make sure that your bios even sees that you have a hard drive and cdrom plugged in. if they don't show up in the bios summary page, then the controller is probably bad.

Is there an operating system already installed on the hard drive or did you just build the machine?

HD already has an operating system installed...built about a year ago and this error came up one day when I was booting up my pc.... :p

i think your computer can not detect your harddisk. try use another harddisk or another cable data. after that check your bios are they detected.

this is not the first time i came across this problem............its just that the os was not properly installed or there is loose connnection with ur HDD
