Windows SP2 pack

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I have windows xp and whenever it tries to download Service Pack 2, it completes about 80% but then says there are errors and it automatically closes down. I need to download it but was hoping someone could give advice what I really need to do.,

When you say closes down, is that when its downloading or installing?

Have you tried this one? Download it and save, then run it.

Good idea download service pack 3 then

Be carefull, To install SP3 you must have SP1a or SP2 installed first. If you have SP1 it will not install.

SP3 does install without SP2 done it numerous times on countless computers

If you are having problems downloading as per your post, then go to the link below and download SP2. after downloading install.
