everytime i strat my computer up the windows update icon appears says downloading updates. and everysingle time i shut down it needs to install updates, which it never seems to actually do because i can turn the computer on 10 seconds later and it will install again. anyways its annoying how can i stop it.

One thing you can do is go to the Windows update link directly to have the options of express or custom installation of the latest updates.
