windows update not working

hi,
the other day i went into microsuck and did a windows update where i
chose some of the security updates which downloaded and installed
without a hitch.
funny thing though, tried to get back into MS update for windows and i
click on custom to choose some more updates but it says that it cannot
display the right page.
any ideas as to what might be happening here?

am using winXP pro SP2
am on dial-up hence why i'm careful as to which updates to choose from.

EWWWW! windows updates is like the black plage for windows. slows everything down and make my computer crash all the time.

As for your problem..... being XP is now being outdated i say that windows has deleted the page, windows XP updates and not going to exist very soon.

talking on the same subject round my mates on her vista machine on the system tray its got updates are available for pc so i click it install them or try to install them but then it comes up with an error, can anyone help, i forgot what the error says

It might be something wrong with the server... or windows can't download the updates.

Its true that this very month (June) Microsoft officialy will not give any more support for Windows XP and that includes updates.

cohen is right that there might be a problem with the server, just keep trying regulary.
