Windows Vista 64bit

I had a question concerning my gateway laptop running Windows Vista. The computer will not boot anymore. I tried a system restore, and it said a image file was missing, and it shut down. When it started back up, it said:

Status: 0xc0000000f

Info: Windows failed to load because the NLS data is missing, or corrupt.

Other than that I get no other options, and im pretty sure bring up another menu before the start up screen also won't work. I am not exactly computer savvy, so I am a bit lost. I heard you can copy NLS file from another vista machine, but I am unsure if I need something special to do that with?

I tried another way, by downloading and using a Vista recovery disk. It worked well up until the point after I enter the product code, then gives me an error code and says it could not install bc an .wim file is missing?

I am unsure of what to do next, so any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.
