Windows Vista Home Premium

I am getting a new Gateway computer and really excited because it is the most powerful computer that I ever had and a little nervouse also. I consider to be good on the computer but am a little nervous about Windows Vista and just wanting to get some advice and pointers on who has it now on their computer. Should I be as scared towards it or is it relatively easy to use?

ppl who tell you that it's a pain, are so wrong... I have Home Premium x64 and couldn't love it more.. It runs everything fine, does what I want it to do. Only trouble I have had is with a network printer's drivers, and that's not Vista's fault, that's Lexmark's.

nice to know its a good operating system becaus ei just bought a computer with it also.... i wont get it for a week but im sure its a nice easy to use interface

Thanks for the info. I have been watching some demos on Vista and looks pretty sweet. I'm getting my computer Tuesday and can't wait to try it out.

people that vistas rubbish cant be bothered to spend time on it and also its new to them they dont like new things eg windows 2000 to xp and xp to vista people will see sense one day and vista will be the thing to have

I agree. I was a little hesitant at first but was watching demos on how to use Vista and now I can't wait. Do you know if they are coming out with SP1 for it soon. The only bad thing that I heard is you get some errors while using Vista.

mine works fine... theres hp for you :D ya only problem is that it eats memory. but it has a nice graphical interphace

Vista is definitely a good idea. A lot of the functions are vastly improved from Windows XP, and those that aren't, you can just get disable. If your machine can handle it, definitely go for it.
