I just purchased a new PC that had Windows Vista pre-installed with it.
For a PC with Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and two RAID 350GB 7200rpm hard drives set up, I don't think the operating system is that fast.
My single 2.2ghz Intel Celeron PC loads Windows XP almost 4 times faster than Windows Vista on my new computer.
I want to get the 64-bit version of Vista, but is it any faster?
Any good explanations of why the operating system for me is so slow?
