Windows Vista vs Windows XP network bridging?

When you want to bridge a device (to share the internet connection from your pc) does Windows XP do it any differently from Vista?

(Note I'm not talking about ICS; I mean when you have 2 connections in your network connections window, you select both of them and and click "bridge connections")

I am just curious if there is any profound difference in bridging from XP to Vista in the way its done through the software...because I am encountering some issues in Vista with my 360 that I didn't really see when I was running XP.

If you can help me this would be great because I've been doing a lot of digging but most forum threads and topics for past cases dealt with XP and not Vista.:)

Ok I have some more info on the issue. I tried bridging the Xbox 360 to another computer with Windows XP, and I still get the same issues.

Even though in the Xbox 360 dashboard it doesn't give any NAT problems (meaning I have an OPEN nat), I have problems in game where I'll randomly disconnect/suffer from excessively long wait times. I tried to play online on my brothers Xbox which is connected directly to the router without the use of a "middleman", and it has none of the issues I am having. (We are on the same DSL connection).

Does anyone think that if I buy the wifi adapter for my Xbox that the issue will go away? It seems as though bridging through windows causes some sort of routing issue that is out of my control...

If anyone has any info that can help save me $99 I would appreciate it more than you will ever know...
