The simple answer is try it! If the installer lags and stalls and says "not suppported on this version of Windows"... oh well you buy the newer version! I ran smack into this with Cyberlink's PowerDVD and other programs that were included with the recent tv tuner card installed. I now have to buy software twice to see it run on both versions of Windows.
Some older games install and run with no problems! Now someone can sell something besides the latest version of Windows like a newer version of the same program you had on the XP side of life. It does seem to keep the economy going howver. I'm sure you are thrilled there for sure.
