Windows vista!

Hello,
just wondering! i live in the uk! but when the 2nd or 3rd edition of windows vista comes out how much do you think it will cost???
also does it take longer or faster to boot up than windows xp??

i would want the media centre edition of windows vista! i think it is the second one from the top one!

The five named versions of Vista are Enterprise, Business, Ultimate, Premium, and Basic. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/editions/default.mspx

When the finished version comes out it will be about the same price as XP was at the time it was new if not slightly higher depending on version. This version of Windows has three not one home edition. Figure about $200-$239 US and convert into pounds from there. They get you everytime(retail that is)

I hope thats what hes talking about. ANd to answer the original question, It depends on your computer if it will take longer to load or not.

Going by the beta version alone it didn't seem to be really any faster then XP on the same system here. That was selecting the Ultimate version when going to install it. The download had to go onto a dvd not cd due to the size there explaining the option to try all 5 out.

The Starter edition won't been available for retail or OEM. That will be a download in some places for validating legimate installations and will be a stripped down version.
