Windows Volume Licenses

If you are buying Windows Licenses in volume is there still a limit on how many can be installed? You can keep on installing even though it exceeds the amount of licenses bought in bulk as a company?

No.

Are there usage limits on MAKs?

Yes. MAKs allow a predetermined number of activations. This number depends on the type of agreement you have. The number of activations can be revised (at the request of the customer or of Microsoft) to accommodate your regular usage.

You can find the number of activations remaining on a MAK by going to the VLSC or by using the Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT). If the existing activation limit on your MAK is inadequate for your deployment, contact the Microsoft Activation Center.

Just to expand, this was an answer to your second question. There is a limit how many times they can be activated. Most corporations with volume licensing have a KMS server that allows them to deactivate and activate at will, very useful if replacing machines or reimaging them.

Is there a way to have Unlimited Licenses? For example, I know that there is KMS and MAK but I was wondering if it's possible to buy just one license and use it multiple times on several different machines. Also, how can I determine whether a Product Key is Valid or not?

That's what a volume license does.....
Don't you have limits on a Volume License?
That's what a volume license is for. You only use one key, but you can activate it on how ever many machines you purchase activations for. Microsoft doesn't sell a serial number that can be activated an unlimited number of times, that would defeat the purpose of their business model.
