Windows Won't Recognize Card

I tried to put a wireless card that worked perfectly in another laptop into this laptop and Windows doesn't seem to recognize it. When I plug it in (PCI) the power light doesn't turn on and there is no new hardware found wizard... I tried installing the drivers but it asks you to plug in the card, which it doesn't see.

Any Ideas,
John

How do I know what drivers I need? It's a HP Pavilion ze5170
You shouldn't need drivers. Have other PCMCIA cards worked in the laptop? Did you try both slots? It is possible that one is dead.

Look in the device manager (control panel-->system-->hardware-->device mamager) and see if it says anything about a PCMCIA controller or possibly the wireless card.

This is the first card I've tried... The device manager sees to PCMCIA slots which it says are functional (I can only seem to use one (if they are on top of each other then the bottom one looks blocked))
