hi,
windows keeps on rebooting after 1 min or 2 using it. i thought i found the problem when i realized 1 of my 2 ram 'thing' was dead and i only had 256M instead of 760. since i know memory (only) can cause the computer to reboot i removed it but it just keeps on rebooting again and again.

thx for your help

ram isnt necessarily the only thing......could be alot of things.....especially if u found your damaged ram...check inside the comp for other damaged components....the pwer supplymay have taken a crap and taken some other components along the way.......see if the processor fan is spinning....might turn off b/c the processor is getting too hot.

when pc is going to shut down goto command prompt and type "shutdown -a"
download security patches and updates
try to start in save mode to see if it still shut's down

i guess its more a software than hardware problem
ciao
