My System Config:
Pentium D 3.0Ghz
MB: Abit IP35E
2.5GB DDR2 RAM
2x 500GB Hard Drive (No RAID)
1x 1TB Hard Drive
1x 160GB Hard Drive

Ok here is my strange problem. as I have 4 HD and I have my Windows XP installed on one of my 500GB HD which has many partitions. I Installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my other 500GB HD which is completely empty with a 100GB system partition with Win7 in it. Ok now the problem is that while booting only that windows load which is selected as the first boot HD in BIOS. so this I think mean some problem with my MBR. i tried checking the boot file in both windows but couldnt find the other OS listed in it. Please help me on this I want a OS selection menu before booting so that I dont have to messup with the BIOS everytime.
any help appereciated.
Thank you Guys

If you had the one drive disconnected while installing the other OS then thats why you aren't getting the boot option. You would have to set it up again i believe.

NO the drives were there attached with the motherboard. I didnt remove anything while installing.

I have installed XP way before Win 7.
ny more help please.

Kanu,
I had this problem and it was sorted out by member 'Speedyink '
Although I had caused it by installing 7 with XP unplugged.
This is the procedure listed from 'Speedyink '

In Windows 7, right click computer and click properties
Click advanced systems settings.
The third option is 'start up and recovery ' click on settings.
In the drop down box choose' old windows version ' or similar
Click Apply. Done.

Before this I had to go into the Bios to select the drive.
Hope this works for you with thanks to Speedink.
Firefrost.

Nope mate it didnt work!!
there is no option as Old Windows Version only Windows 7 is listed in the drop down box!!!
any more suggestions guys!!!!
:(

It sounds as if your boot loader doesn't recognize that there is more than one operating system to choose from. For XP, your boot loader is NTLDR and for Windows 7, it is Windows Boot Manager. But the Windows XP boot loader is not capable of booting Windows 7, so you'd need to start by making sure Windows 7 is first.

I've never tried anything like this before, but the steps in this Microsoft article might help you out. It is not the exact situation you have, but may be relevant and fix your problem.
