Windows XP doesn't save some of my settings

Hi there!

In the menu tab in the bottom of the screen on Windows XP, there is a quick menu next to the Start button. With my settings, I can only see the first 3 of those shortcuts, and then there is an arrow I can press, if I want to see the rest. My default setting on those 3 are: Firefox, Show Desktop and uTorrent.. However (For some reason) Firefox isn't there whenever I start the computer (Then it's Show Desktop, uTorrent and Windows Media Player, and Firefox only appears when I expand the menu by clicking that arrow)... What's wrong here?
Also, sometimes Firefox starts up by telling me that it's made some updates on some of my plug-ins, even though it allready has told me that.. And, by the way, sometimes it resets my settings for downloading to default.. Are all these problems connected?

Kind regards

You need to unlock the taskbar and drag the bar to the right so you can see all your icons. Not sure about your other problems though.

Why should I do that? I have 12 icons in total, and I only need to have three of them shown.. This has never been a problem before, so it's gotta have to be some fault... Wether it's Firefox or Windows that's something wrong with, I don't know though...

Maybe I don't understand what you want. Can you try rearranging your quick launch icons?
