windows xp freezes unexpectedly

My computer unexpectedly freezes when i do anything on it i was wondering if anyone can help me and what does (78% load ) means on line 2

Processor =AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3300+, 2411MHz
Memory=384MB total (78% load )
Video=1024 x 768, True Color (32 bit)
graphics card sis 760
Multimedia=CD-ROM
OS=Windows XP (Build 2600) Service Pack 2
Browser=Microsoft IE Build 6.0.2900.2180 128-bit encryption
Firewall1=Microsoft ICF
Plugin1=Name: Viewpoint, Version: 3, 2, 2, 26
Plugin2=Name: Direct Draw, Version: 5.03.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)
Plugin3=Name: Windows Media Player, Version: 10.00.00.3646
Plugin4=Name: Shockwave Flash, Version: 7,0,19,0
Plugin5=Name: Real Player, Version: 6.0.12.883
AntiVirus1=AVG 7.0 with this problem.
 
It means that 78% of your memory is being used (i think).

I would highly recommend getting more Ram, especially since your runnin Windows XP. I'd say get at least 512MB.
 
I have 512 mb total physical memory but it says on the description 384 mb total i am really confused

The description says "memory" as a generic term which really means "Memory as available to Windows" ... the rest is being used as a framebuffer for the onboard video so as geoff suggests, tone it down in BIOS (you will however notice a drop in videogame performance)
