Windows XP install

I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP on my laptop. The BIOS is set to load from the CD and when I put the CD in doesn't read it and continues to load the Windows I had installed in the past. Can anyone help? thanks

Since it's a laptop, you don't have two Cd-Drives right? It can also read the drive if you have a CD-drive connected by USB port. If that's not the case, then do you have your boot-sequence order set correctly?

i've got the order the same as I installed it the first time... CD, Hard drive, then two others which i left alone

try setting all boot sequences to cd that might do it

That's weird... lol But can you even have all of the sequences as Cd-Drive?
