windows xp installation

i'm installing windows xp on an old pc and when there is a blue screen and orange bar, with the files copying at the bottom right corner, it's copying the files very slow. anyone know why that would be?

Because it's an old PC. XP installs and runs quite slow on old PC's. [Unless you know how to tweak it after install, then it runs better]

yeah like said if its a realy old pc then its going to take quite a while,as long as it continues to install and you dont get any errors or anything it should be alright.

no its not because of the pc, i reinstalled before and it was way faster. it takes like 1 minute per file. same problem on my dell deminsion 8200 it takes just as slow. i tryed multiple cdrom drives and the cd is not even scratched
