I'm having a bit of trouble with one of my computers. Recently the motherboard died out (wouldn't even POST) so I bought a new one to replace it. Ever since the Windows XP has been acting up.
Motherboard Before: ASUS K8N-E Deluxe
New Motherboard: MSI K8MM3
Once I installed the new motherboard and turned it on everything started up fine at first. Windows XP then asked me to reactivate, which I did. Then it started "installing" all the hardware. I started uninstalling old drivers meant for the other motherboard and installing the new drivers. Once I restarted however Windows XP gave me this blue screen:
Everytime I started Windows XP it gave this error. Even when I tried going into Last Good Configuration or Safe Mode. I tried repairing windows which I did successfully and I was able to get back into Windows XP. However whenever I tried to install drivers of any kind (video, sound, even FlashPlayer possibly!) it would give this blue screen again. However this time I was able to get into Safe Mode.. but I honestly don't know what I can do about this.
I've also tried a fresh install of XP on another Hard Drive but beleive it or not the same thing happens whenever I try to install drivers. Even when I tried flashing the BIOS, thinking it would help in some way, it gave the blue screen. I went through some different hardware (except motherboard) and it does the same thing.
