Ive recenctly layed my hands on Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005.
I must say im very impressed, proved very good for media applications and suprisingly gives better results in benchmarking software.

I have only had experience with Media Centre when i was at me old work. That was the beta version though. May i ask how u got a copy.... this is because the full version is not released yet.

Computers from Dell, HP, etc... allow customes to purchase MCE 2005 with a new computer.

I bought mine late last year and have absolutely loved it. While the quality diminishes with large screen TV's ... the quality is very good on my 21 inch LCD monitor. I just added a second tv tuner (there are a few other threads on this topic... ) but it works really well. All the functions of TIVO without monthly charges ;)
