I'm getting the "There are no entries in the list" message when using net view. I'm on Windows XP. First I do net view to get a list of computers, then I select a computer, which I know is also running Windows XP, and I do net view (computer name). This gives the the "There are no entries in the list" message. However, I can still map the drives. I know the C drive is shared, so I can do net use t: \\(computer name)\C and that will map that drive on to my computer. But why wont any of the shared drives show up? I can map all of them, but its more convenient to use net view (computer name) so I know which drives I can map.
