does anybody know how i can set the screen to windows xp home setting on the xp pro?

what i am talking abut is when I click on start/shutdown a windows comes up with 3 options side by side saying standby, shutdown, restart.

For some reason after my outlet lost power (turn on the pc again) it does not show this shutdown windows anymore. Instead it shows a window with the xp pro style. You know the one with the drop down window and i have to click the drop down windows and chose what to do.

thanks for the help

I beleive that is the Win2000 screen you are looking at. I am running XP Pro and when I shut down I get the screen with the three options you describe above. There should not be any difference between XP Pro and XP home shutdown screens. Are you on Classic view?

Classic view doesn't make a difference.

Go to User Accounts
Select Change the way users log on and off
Make sure the Use the Welcome Screen box is checked

Hmm, I've used the clasic view and it didn't make a difference on the shutdown window.
