I'm interested in selling my PC and I would also like to sell my copy of WinXP Home Edition SP2 that I purchased. I've already activated it online, so I would like to know what I will have to do because i'm guessing since i've already activated it, my CD-Key won't work if I re-format my hard drive again.
i will work fine, the secs of your machine are stored against the activation code on a microsoft database somewhere, when you try to activate again it will recongnise that this is the same machine and will activate itself, this is all assuming that you have the internet of course other wise it all needs to be done by phone
