Here's the situation:
* I uninstalled Windows XP Home Edition and upgraded to Professional Edition.
* There is NO sound what so ever.
* When I go into CONTROL PANEL > SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES > VOLUME it says on the top left "No Audio Device".
* When I go into CONTROL PANEL > SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES > AUDIO all of the colums which include SOUND PLAYBACK, SOUND RECORDING, and MIDI MUSIC PLAYBACK all say No "____" Devices.
* I checked the DEVICE MANAGER and found to problems that may have something to do with this but am unsure. They include:
(?!) Multimedia Audio Controller
(?!) Intel(R) 82801BA/BAM AC '97 Audio Controller - 2445
