Im building my comp. Basically, the question is...do i need a lisence for each individual comp i use? If not, i could use the one i have on this comp. Im just asking because i saw someone say.."just borrow xp from a mate".
So...that..is the question. Im pretty sure i know what the answer will be. It will save me a bit of money if i dont have to buy it again.

Yeah i agreee ive heard of problems with XP shutting itself down after 30 days because that copy had already been registered. But, i dont know if its true ive always down it the right way.

The Chef is correct, you need to have a seperate license for each installation of the OS.

As I recall, one can now purchase a multiple-license pack from Microsoft, starting with a five-pack.

sorry to hijack this thread but its sort of on the same line, i never got a windows cd when i purchased the pc, i was to create a disc using HP Recovery Disc Creator, however there seems to be a problem with "recovery Disc Creator" and i keep getting errors, is it ok to borrow another xp home disc from someone and use my registered number again??? sorry again to hijack.
