Hey

I have a big problem and have had it for over a year and would really love it if someone could help me!

I need to re-install windows XP as it restarts before i even log on each time!

However, When I try to re-install it and select that I want to write on the unpartitioned space, it restarts the computer again! I have no idea what to do, my computer keeps restarting, and i cant reinstall windows! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think i might be able to fix it if i know how to completely wipe my harddrive without going into my operating system. Is this even possible? Any help would be great!

Well as I said, I booted using the CD, and then it would not let me reinstall windows as it restarted the computer everytime i selected it to do so

When you boot of the CD when does it restart? Right away? Do you get to the part where you get to select what partition to install too? Or is it random restrt at random times? If you can get to the choose partition spot you should be able to delete the partition then make a new one and isntall although to me this sounds like a hardware issue rather then a OS issue.

What are your CPU and mobo temps? If you have acess to another comptuer i would download a RAM tester that you can boot from and go ahead and test all of your RAM and make sure it has ZERO errors, and If you have acess to another power supply try and switch it out.

The partition has already been deleted. I select to install on the empty partition and it goes and tries to install it but once it gets to the part where it would normally restart and go into the blue windows xp installing screen it just restarts the computer
