I recently purchased a new mp3 player, and in order to load some important firmware relating to volume control i need to have Windows Service Pack 1 or upwards installed on my PC.
However, this pc has recently been subject to major viruses, and my brother re-installed Windows using a copied disk.
This means when i attempt to update XP, it stops halfway through and refers me to the Microsoft Piracy Department.
Is there any way of getting round this?
