Windows XP, Sound

Hello, this has happened to me in the past and it seemed to go away and now it has come back. When im listening to a song or something with audio it just dissapears.... My speaker wires and connections are ok, what the hell is wrong?

A little more information please. Perhaps what program are you using for music and what files are the songs?

Windows media player, windows in general i.e error sounds etc.


All types of files , wma, mp3 , i tunes files, dvds anything with sound.

Right at this moment in time the sound is back but i know it will be gone soon.

What sound card do you have?

Short in the speaker wire?

Does everything look normal in Device Manager or do you have exclamations?

Check if there is a driver update for your sound card. Sometimes the driver becomes faulty and semi-corrupt which maybe making the sound probems

may its really a short in the wire........U could just plug in another system or just a head phones to figure that out...or it could be a slack sound card!!!!!!
